Elderflower Champagne - testing and tasting
Tested and tasted it last night (10th June). It comes out of the barrel under pressure with a light fizz and a dense frothy head. Tasted very promising! The lemons, the sweetness and the fizzy froth screammed “lemon Refreshers” with distinct taste of elderflower and lychee. A slight roughness at the back of the throat like you get from bitter-lemon drink. Still early days…SG 1032 - giving possible alcohol content of 1.3%.
