Elderflowers etc…
Sorry for the late post, just got back from a short family holiday. We had lovely weather on the beach in Pembrokeshire….BTW the elderflowers were starting there, there were thousands to be had and I couldn’t resist so I started another batch for Sarah’s parents to finish off later this week. OTT! But they love the stuff too so it won’t go to waste.
I can’t really add anything to the tasting notes, you both summed up our lunchtime skiving very nicely.
I was inspired by Marcus to try a full strength elderflower champagne. I might use that wine recipe I posted earlier but bottle it near the end of fermentation into soda bottles instead of messing about with the corks and all that. 5 or 10 L of sparkling elderflower wine at 12-13% sounds rather exciting!
